HW 1:  Chapters 1 – 3

This homework assignment is over Chapters 1 - 3 in your "ENGR 1304:  Engineering Graphics and Design" book.

All drawings must be done in pencil and should be neat.  Your paper should be clean and straight.  You will be graded on appearance.  Your orthographic projections should line up appropriately as discussed in class.

Do not use graph paper or rulers -- this is sketching.  Being able to freehand your thoughts and ideas is a good thing and extra tools will just get in the way of what we're trying to get you to learn here.

You should turn this assignment in on paper in class by 2:30 pm on the due date.  Do not submit anything on Blackboard for this assignment.

For the Exercises, create the files associated with each one and save the files using the exercise number as the name, such as Exercise 1.8.SLDPRT.  FOR THIS HOMEWORK ONLY, also, use the Save As... command to save each exercise as a tif (graphic file), such as Exercise 1.8.tif.

For details on homework submission, view this video here.

Be sure to remember to answer any related questions within the Exercises.
Be sure to follow all directions.  Models are very, very specific, and you must be very particular.

Once you have completed all problems for this assignment, put the files (including your Word document this should be 20 files) all in a single folder titled with your name and the homework number and compress that folder into a .zip file.  The .zip file is what you should upload here.
