Math 1314:
College Algebra
Objectives May include the following topics: linear, quadratic, polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, and rational functions, their graphs, and their use in mathematical modeling; composition and inverses of functions, systems of linear equations and inequalities; matrices and determinants; and sequences and series. Problem solving with algebraic applications relevant to today’s world is emphasized throughout. At the end of this course, students should understand the following:
Prerequisites Prerequisite: A score of 270 or above on the math portion of THEA or equivalent score on approved alternative test, credit for MATH 0311, or consent of division director. Required Textbook and Materials
